The Board of Trustees (BoT) governs the school’s performance. It sets the vision for the school to ensure enhancing student achievement is its focus.
To do this, the BoT regularly meets to review how the school is performing, and makes sure the school complies with legal and policy requirements.
The DPS BoT is elected by the parent community and includes five parent representatives, the principal and one staff elected trustee.
The current Board is:
Adam Hall - Presiding Member
Anita Crocker - Parent Representative
Anita Parker - Parent Representative
Nadine Allen - Parent Representative
Simon Watts - Parent Representative
Helen Gard'ner - Staff Representative
Gareth Sinton - Principal
Boards of trustees must hold elections for parent and staff trustees every three years.
Parent representative trustees are there to play an important role - being the voice of all parents at the school. All members of the DPS parent community are encouraged to put their hand up for a role on the BoT when elections are held.
