We are a group of parents, teachers and supporters of Douglas Park School who meet monthly. New members are always welcome.
The aim of the Friends of Douglas Park School (FoDPS) is to support a positive relationship between the school and the community by organising social events and fundraising activities.
Fundraising is an integral part of FoDPS. We endeavour to supplement the schools existing funds thereby providing an opportunity to purchase resources and equipment for the school that otherwise the school may not obtain.
We organise fundraising activities of all sizes such as the Easter Raffle, Wood Raffle and Calendar Art. We also organise and manage events at school such as supplying and handing out ice blocks to all tamariki who complete cross country.
Our fundraising has supported the school and our tamariki by paying for or contributing to:
swimming pool - painting, pumps and seating.
PE shed
camp
Education Outside the Classroom
We welcome any new members to our monthly meetings. The dates of these will be detailed on the school calendar and in the school newsletter. We also welcome volunteers who aren’t able to attend meetings but are happy to be called on for an extra pair of hands when needed.
If you would like to contact us you can send an email to the following email address.
We look forward to hearing from you!
