MONEY Please send all money to school in a sealed envelope (recycled is fine) with your child’s name, room number, amount and activity. Most money is collected by the class teacher. The children will be told where to take it. We do not encourage children to have any ‘pocket’ money at school. NEWSLETTERS Sent home via oldest child in the family every Thursday or can be e-mailed. • Syndicate newsletters are sent home outlining coming classroom events • Community notices can be included – please give information to the School Secretary • Most other notices are issued with the newsletter. • Gold pages require a response. PARENT CONCERNS We are a people industry and issues will arise. Please let us know as soon as possible of any concerns you have. We encourage you to do so. A quick word can save a heap of worry. Make initial contact with the class teacher or person in charge of the particular activity. We aim to please. When you are pleased tell others, when not tell us. PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT Assistance may be given with: Reading programmes Trips, visits and adventures Library assistance Coaching sports teams Parent tutor reading Shelving books and resources Junior school programmes “Earth’s greatest treasure lies in human personality” We encourage your involvement in learning and school activities. This body fundraises to provide extras for the children’s education and provides forums for discussing educational matters. The PTA is very important in building ‘community’ and is about you, for you, by you. READING RECOVERY PROGRAMME Caters for 6 year old children, who, after diagnostic testing would be likely to benefit from extra tuition in establishing a sound base for reading and writing.
